 i could never prepare myself to say goodbye to you you were always there, i thought you’d be for this too. 

you betrayed me, left me in the dust

i was just another forgotten page, but forgiving you felt like a must 

i never had a friend like you, i told you all my secrets, i trusted you with my life 

but the second i let my guard down, you met my back with a knife 

i was never prepared to say goodbye, and for the memories to begin to fade 

i know we’d still be friends today, if you just had some patience for me, if only you would have stayed.
